Yes this issue (or one very like it) is still around.

Unfortunately there is no way I can tell how old these old threads are. 
And uptime is 45 days, so they could be quite old.

[root at myth ~]# ps -ae | grep mythfilldatabas
11937 ?        00:00:10 mythfilldatabas
25800 ?        00:00:00 mythfilldatabas
30734 ?        00:00:08 mythfilldatabas
