Thanks for the input.  I was planning on using Coax to my
Pre-Processor.  In fact, the ASUS doesn't even have optical out.  I
will take your comment that the optical out of the Gigabyte is not a
plus but is there more than that?

The audio out for the L+R into my TV seems fine.  For my 5.1, I use my
processor and not the onboard audio.

That said, your comments, and those of Mark, made me realize that I
have a USB input on the Outlaw Processor.  Maybe I don't even need an
audio card at all!  Something to try with my present system.
