No. Yes. Depends on how much you know about booting and how good you

The AppleTV interface is MUCH better for playing music than MythMusic.  
If you already have iTunes on other computers, you get to stream music/ 
movies/photos from those other machines. If you don't currently use  
iTunes, I don't see any reason to use the AppleTV OS.

Netflix is a direct competitor to iTunes movies rental/sales. You'll  
have better luck getting a Wendy's double bacon cheeseburger in a Taco  
Bell.
