[mythtv-users] Freetype and building mythtv from source

I am trying to build mythtv:

http://svn.mythtv.org/svn/branches/release-0-21-fixes/mythtvmythtv-.21-fixes/

and when I run "./configure" I get:

WARNING! An unknown C++ compiler flag in: "-Wall". Option(s) will be

WARNING! An unknown C++ compiler flag in: "-Wpointer-arith". Option(s) will
be ignored.
WARNING! An unknown C++ compiler flag in: "-Wredundant-decls". Option(s)
will be ignored.
WARNING! An unknown C++ compiler flag in: "-Wno-non-virtual-dtor". Option(s)
will be ignored.
WARNING! An unknown C++ compiler flag in: "-D__STDC_CONSTANT_MACROS".
Option(s) will be ignored.
ERROR! You must have FreeType installed to compile MythTV.
If you think configure made a mistake, make sure you are using the latest
version from SVN.  If the latest version fails, report the problem to the
mythtv-dev at mythtv.org mailing list or IRC #mythtv on irc.freenode.net
Include the log file "config.err" produced by configure as this will help
solving the problem.


Does anyone know how to fix this?  I know it has something to do with me
running 64Bit distro's.  It does this on Fedora 9, Fedora 8, and Centos 5,
all 64bit.  Also below is what I get when I run a "rpm -qa | grep freetype"

freetype-2.3.5-4.fc8
freetype-devel-2.3.5-4.fc8
