I used to have a G5-800 imac that had MythFrontend running on it.
Didn't test livetv though as at the time... no tunners (testing it as a
media manager system). But it could play back XviD and DVD's quite
happily so I'd assume have no issue with an mpeg2 stream.
I wouldn't want to feed it HD though.
