I'm not sure if it's related. I can watch live TV, and it has no  
problems
Also, mine are not mpeg2 files.

Anyone have any thoughts as to why my life TV records fine, and plays  
back fine, but my actual recording are recording will inconsistent  
audio/video playback speed/sync?
