Hi Jeff,

My laptop (frontend) has 1000MB/s and I already use blockdev @16384 
(8MB) at teh backend, interestingly the laptop can read from the backend 
@ 85MB/s - (over UDP NFS) which is about 100% faster than reading from 
its local drives :)
