That was it. I didn't think to look in there, because it just never occured 
to me that there's more than one way to decode an MPEG stream. This piques 
my curiosity -- what exactly might be to do here, besides scaling the MPEG 
stream to the desired resolution.

It also appeared to me that the video I was getting looked kind of grainy, 
compared to 0.20; now with the slim playback profile it's clear again.
