How about instead people upload their cutlists? ;)

If your server is running NTP, and you've recorded it from a DVB-S  
stream, it's going to be pretty damn accurate for everyone else that  
recorded it... DVB-T may be slightly more disparate, but should still  
be fine.

Why should everyone post-process the same data? ;)
