I'm using different models of nVidia cards and I've had it turn up on ALL  
my Ubuntu machines, including my MythBuntu server.

On one machine, Ubuntu didn't seem to recognize the card, so I just  
installed the nVidia driver, activated it in the restricted driver list,  
and rebooted. That worked.

If the driver's installed but not working, I've seen it recommended to  
deactivate it in the driver list, then reactivate it. Dunno if that works.
