[mythtv-users] Aspect ratio & zooming in 0.21

Hi folks,

I've searched the list archives on this, and haven't found an
answer...

I have a 16:9 TV (and the DisplaySize in xorg.conf correctly reflects
this aspect ratio). With MythTV 0.21, it works OK displaying HDTV
content off the air. But I have problems with getting two different
things to work. Both of these worked in 0.20.

I have a Dish standard-def satellite receiver. Both of these problems
pertain to it.

1) 16:9 content that is broadcast in letterboxed 4:3 format. I used
to be able to use a 16:9 zoom feature (or Full mode) to display this
in its proper aspect ratio on my 16:9 TV and it worked well. Now,
there are "half" and "full" modes. Both of these cut stuff off the
left and right edges, and appear to still have a "squashed" image.

2) If I am watching 4:3 content and want to watch it in its correct
aspect ratio, I would have black bars on the left and right. There
appears to be no way to do that now.

Am I missing something? I've tried all sorts of different
combinations of settings now.
