[mythtv-users] Trouble with monit

I've been using monit to monitor my mythbackend process, as I've seen
that it tends to segfault on me whenever I record this one particular
show on one particular channel. Tonight, I went into Mythweb to check
on another recording and it said the backend wasn't running. I then saw
that both monit and mythbackend were dead. I restarted the backend
fine, but the monit process won't start. I start it and it says it
started, but when I immediately check it with "service monit status" it
says it's dead with subsys locked.

I see that there's a /etc/monit.conf file present, but it's completely
commented out. I have a .monitrc file with my mysql and mythbackend
processes listed in it to look out for (saw the example on a post in
this list). Nothing seems to show up in either /var/log/messages, and
/var/log/monit.log shows "monit daemon with pid [5488] killed" and
"Monit stopped", both on May 6th.

Any ideas on where else I can look?

Thanks,
Harry
