[mythtv-users] Dilema: Upgrade hardware, downgrade OS

This is what I would do for the most part. Reinstall the system to 7.10, 
turn off the updater system and just leave it alone once it's going again. 

However, keeping up with the pack can be a good thing as far as MythTV 
goes; features, bug fixes and so on.  So long term I'd look at figuring 
out how to compile from source.
