[mythtv-users] New Tuner Card

I hear Hauppauge makes nice SD analog stuff, and the HD-PVR component
capture device. For HD I've been using an HDHomerun. Note that on cable, if
your company encrypts channels you're done. I just use OTA and various
online sources like hulu and iTunes for my stuff that I can't get OTA. There
is zero open source CableCard support, and there won't be unless you can
convince the FCC or Congress to force the cable companies to do so. So if
you want cable, your best option is likely the HD-PVR. You still require a
cable box, and you have to deal with IR blasters, but it seems like the best
HD Cable/Sat soultion right now.
