[mythtv-users] a couple newbie questions

Hi,

I' running mythbuntu 8.10 :

mythfrontend --version
Please include all output in bug reports.
MythTV Version   : 18722
MythTV Branch    : branches/release-0-21-fixes
Library API      : 0.21.20080304-1

MythTV is working really nicely. I just have a couple questions. I've been
searching around but I'm not finding answers.

1. Should mythfilldatabase be running on a cron automagically or do I need
to setup a simple cron to have the DB filled regularly? Daily, or every
other day seem reasonable?

2. Should I be receiving myth updates via the ubuntu updater? I'm not sure I
want updates  that way just, trying to figure this thing out.
