Quoting Nico: "Ah, then you are not willing to extend your view and put yourself in others' shoes."

I am sorry Nico, if your presumption did follow from what I said, (it does not) why would I even participate in the list where the
list is all about other peoples opinions?

My comment was indeed designed to invite responses from others.

I appreciate your views also.

I am open to persuasive argument, so far you have not persuaded me to a different view. Please bring it on with some solid
arguments to support your case. Solid argument does not include trying to win the day by getting personal.

Before someone else says it I did indeed buy the card(s) knowing that full Linux support was not available at the time, and was not
guaranteed.

I also know that we live in a competitive market where consumers who make enough noise will be listened to and that there are plenty
of examples where new features are subsequently added by someone. Long live competition!

I also agree with the poster who said that if NVIDIA wish to write their own drivers then it is reasonable for them to keep their
(proprietary) information to themselves, however if they choose not to do so, then I think they have a moral duty to release the
information to the World for those who may have the skills that may be so inclined. If they don't then consumers will continue to
choose who they make future purchases from.

Kind regards
David
