Well there appears to be some sort of problem on the backend tuner
configuration.

I'm not familiar with the 1600 but being a Hauppauge card I'd assume
that it's got a hardware encoder on board, so setting a software
encoder (mpeg2) looks wrong to me.  I would have assumed ivtv or
Hauppauge PVR (I'm guessing though so don't take my word  :-) )  I'd
go back to the card setup screen, do a bit of +mythtv +"Hauppauge
1600" googling and make sure the settings are right for that card.

Maybe someone using that card (preferably in your part of the world,
wherever that is) can chime in with success stories?

That is suprising (to me), but may be correct depending on your broadcaster(s).

If I were you I'd go back through mythtv-setup, one screen at a time,
making sure your cards, inputs, sources and channels are correct both
for your system and your broadcasters.  (Looks like you have the
General settings correct though)
