When I run the command from the terminal, I can use the apple remote without a problem. When I run the command from the mythfrontend GUI the video starts up, but I can no longer use the remote. It's almost like the frontend hasn't released control of the remote to mplayer. Has anyone else seen this issue? Thanks. Bob
