[mythtv-users] USB troubles - Options

I have been plagued with dvb-usb: bulk message failed errors causing
my system to slow down with a reboot being the only way to fix it. It
starts when the USB traffic gets loaded up such as recording a HD
channel or recording a few SD channels. I have used a few different
USB tuners and they show a similar problem once the USB traffic gets
loaded up.

I am convinced it is a problem with the USB controller on the 780G
motherboard. South bridge is SB700.

So I have decided I need to get a new motherboard.

Looking for advice on what chip sets to look for or avoid.

Also can I just swap over motherboards without having to do a
re-install ? I am running Mythbuntu on a AMD64.
