The HD channels from both providers are DVB-S2.

I have two HVR-4000 cards that have worked very well for about seven months
with DVB-S only. I have not tried DVB-S2 yet because of all the noise
related to drivers, and that I will need a faster CPU in order to handle
the H.264 streams for the HD channels.
