Combined FE/BE (mythbox) in the living room that sits behind the TV stand
Mythbox is:
Asustek M2NPV-VM
AMD Athlon 64 2.12GHz
Dual Hauppauge Win TV Nova-T
1GB RAM
1.5TB disk
Antec Solo case (very quiet)
Ninja Scythe fanless heatsink
Ubuntu 8.04
Wireless networking
Television is a Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD85 hooked up over a DVI->HDMI cable.
Mythbox runs:
Myth
MythVideo
MythWeb
Wordpress (www.aghast.co.uk)
We are slowing moving away from watching live TV (if I can stop the
missus watching soaps).
We record all the kids shows for our little one and strip out the ads
which is great - no more having her point at the ad on TV and say 'I
want that!'
