    It would have to be in realtime since I would not have the storage
capacity to accomodate my video library otherwise. I'm not even sure if
this is feasable with current general purpose CPUs.

    Between the storage and the CPU overhead, it probably makes more 
sense to just spend money on a popcorn hour or AppleTV.
