[mythtv-users] muting/disabling HDMI audio while fast forwarding?

Hi All,
HDMI audio is working for me with the radeonhd drivers (with HDMI audio
patch), but I've noticed problems with audio muting during fast forward.
At 3x fast forwarding things are silent. If I increase this to 5x then
broken audio plays, which I'd prefer to avoid. I have tried with both
"use internal volume controls" and without, and get the same result.
I wouldn't expect the internal volume controls to work anyhow, since
there is no "master" or "pcm" device for my HDMI audio:
jape at vcr3:~$ amixer
Simple mixer control 'IEC958',0
Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined
Playback channels: Mono
Mono: Playback [on]
jape at vcr3:~$
So I'm somewhat confused as to why there is no audio with 3x fast
forwarding.
At 3x FF the logs are silent.
At 5x they are flooded with:
2008-10-18 08:14:17.145 NVP::AddAudioData():p1: Audio buffer overflow,
audio data lost!

Any pointers on how to "fix" this? I guess in my case I would want myth
to not dump sound data to the sound device while fast forwarding. Is
this an option somewhere?
regards
jp
