Did you post this to the Mythdora discussion forums? I've found you
often get a faster answer by doing so, because users there are more
likely to have run into the same problem.

Having said that:

Does the setup work under Windows? Have you checked the remote
transmitter is working, perhaps by using the digital camera trick?
