[mythtv-users] Help watching tv and clips

Hey, first of all im new to this, so be gentle please :-)

specs
Mythbuntu 8.04
Hauppauge wintv ( bt878)
geforce 7800gs (agp)

1. Trying to watch live tv results in a blck screen for a few seconds wich
then again flips me back to the menu. I've been through the configuration
utility and have discovered a ton of channels and also set my
startup-channel to a valid one. So something must be good right? I'll paste
something from the backend log in a second.

2. Trying to view a 10M divx clip. I transfer this avi to 'videos' via
netwrok from my main computer, but the clip doesnt show up, myth reports 'no
files' ... the file IS there, i checked .. whats up with that?

Ideas?
