[mythtv-users] Program not found in PAT

I've been getting this quite a lot and it seems to _usually_ be on the
same channel (Channel 7, Sydney, Australia). From what I've read in
tha archives the solution seems to be to do a rescan. I just wanted to
ask some advice on how to do this.

http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/294423#294423 says
"select the option to delete all capture cards, not the option to
delete all capture cards on <hostname>" but this has got me a bit
confused as this option appears in the Capture Cards setup screen. But
the channel scanner is in Channel Editor screen, so I wanted to check
the exact process to follow here as I don't want to lose all my
channel set up info such as XMLTV IDs, channel names etc. Can someone
please confirm is this the correct way of doing this:

1) Delete all capture cards on hostname in Capture Cards screen.
2) Delete channels in the Channel Editor screen using the Delete
Channels button.
3) Do a scan by pressing the Channel Scanner button in the Channel
Editor screen.

Will I have to set up the video sources and input connections again
after this? I presume I will have to recreate all the channel info I
may have previously edited.

This sounds scary as if it could stuff everything up if it goes wrong.
Is there a way of just doing a rescan for the one channel that'
sgetting the PAT error?

Regards,
Phill
