Guess again.  In the UK it's never been legal to make a backup copy
(unless permission is explicitly granted) - there has, however, been a
long-term understanding that nobody would get prosecuted for making
copies for personal use.  And under the EUCD, even decoding a DVD under
Linux could be legally questionable.
