I stand corrected.  Last time I enabled jumbo frames to disastrous 
results.  This time, it seems to have gone off without a hitch.  Samba 
transfers between my file server and desktop went from 35MB/s to 55MB/s, 
and I don't seem to have trouble with anything else not working.
