You can't mix ALSA and OSS device names.  Use either "ALSA:default" for 
both (and notice the capitalization) or use "/dev/dsp" for the audio 
output device and "/dev/mixer" for the mixer device (note that the 
"/dev/<device>" names may have numbers on the end--i.e. "/dev/dsp0" and 
"/dev/mixer0").
