[mythtv-users] slow dvb lock in .21

Sorry I never posted the logs- I just realized I didn't use all the same 
patches as I had in .20, and that was the apparent cause of the 
problem.  I still have that 3-4 second buffer delay, but from what I've 
read, not much can be done about that.  Must be a fundamental difference 
in the buffering approach used by integrated dvr's I guess.

On an unproductive note, it indeed is "I don't need livetv, so you 
shouldn't" in several buffering delay discussions.  Not saying they all 
degenerate to that, but enough where I began to wonder if some 
developers understand the value in feature matching the competition.  It 
was just so easily dismissed as unimportant and all.  Don't get me 
wrong- I love the nature of Myth and am grateful to all that 
contribute.  I'm happy to take on a few minor relative shortcomings for 
the flexible and free result.  Not quite ready to turn my grandma loose 
on it yet tho.  ;-)
