Possibly I wasn't clear. I use iSCSI for my root filesystem. It is much 
better/faster in my experience. The latency seems much lower.
For watching recordings with myth, I use myth's built-in protocols. There is 
no NFS involved.
There are no concurrency issues, as there are no shared filesystems.
