Doug, I'm not sure I criticized the project per se. I asked how it compared to an existing project. I agree Miro has a good platform. I did try the bridge, but my MythTV Backend, while it has GUI libraries so I can run programs over SSH X Forwarding, has no monitor. That didn't seem to be a problem in running Miro, however, but it version number distributed with Fedora is 2.0.5-3, which appears to be the latest version distributed by Fedora.
I thought about hacking it, but as it is still in Beta, while I'm most interested in its integration into my MythTV installation, I will hold off.
I'm still of the belief that MythTV itself needs better internet media integration built-in though. I think scripts like this are wonderful, and intend to try it during a future upgrade(I'm running 0.22, but not quite ready to tinker right now).
