[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] dash ....

I suppose you choose 'yes' to make dash the default shell for running
scripts (over bash)? Just a guess...

dpkg-reconfigure dash

This time choose 'no' (don't make dash default). You might need a reboot.

Marc's advice could also be applicable.
