IMHO both 810 and 904 are pretty sick when it comes t o both floppy
and cd rom drives.
I have a friend who just won't give up on floppy drives and I can't
change his mind.
I do,however, get to waste many hours doing a hack and slash until they work.
Then he does an upgrade and they may be broken again.
FWIW the last distro "upgrade" ( 904 to 910 )"seems" to work so there
maybe some chance that they cleaned up the mess YMMV.
