[mythtv-users] Primary (only!) backend, remote storage, mythweb preview images

Hi,
I've got a FreeNAS server with lots of storage mounted to the
/var/lib/mythtv directory. Recording and playback works fine. However, I've
noticed that the preview images in mythweb  no longer gets generated, and
found the following in the logs:

2009-08-25 19:40:24.979 Preview Error: Previewer file
'/var/lib/mythtv/recordings/1038_20090825194000.mpg' is not valid.
2009-08-25 19:40:24.987 Preview Error: Run() file not local:
'/var/lib/mythtv/recordings/1038_20090825194000.mpg'
2009-08-25 19:40:25.014 Preview Error: Preview process not ok.

 fileinfo(/var/lib/mythtv/recordings/1038_20090825194000.mpg.png) exists: 0
readable: 0 size: 0
2009-08-25 19:40:25.017 MainServer: Failed to make preview image.

The file does exist:
root at mythbuntu:/var/log/mythtv# ls -la
/var/lib/mythtv/recordings/1038_20090825194000.mpg
-rw-r--r-- 1 mythtv mythtv 1935136768 2009-08-25 20:30
/var/lib/mythtv/recordings/1038_20090825194000.mpg

It seems to me that mythbackend does not generate previews for recordings on
non-local storage. Can anyone please confirm this, or whether there is a
workaround available?
