My STB automatically upscales STD to HD. Is it easy to do a Fast Fourier
Transform, or something, and determine the resolution of the original signal
and downscale it to a resolution and color depth which consumes less disk
space without any real loss of signal quality.
What about upscaling low res (STD, or medium res HD) on playback?
Or would these be serious projects?
