MythTV is designed to have multiple frontends - that's why it has a
client-server architecture.

But I don't understand your insistence that one user should rule - if
"another user" prevents you from recording something because he has
scheduled something, why is it that you are right and he is wrong? If
it becomes a real problem, get another tuner.

As for having someone else remove "your" recordings - I find a
low-tech solution, like talking to the people in your household, works
quite well. Having loads of storage so it's weeks or months before
it's an issue helps too.

Basically, the idea is to allow you to access your content on the TV
upstairs or downstairs, not to pretend you have 2 different PVR's for
2 different people.

You can use Recording Groups and filter the Watch Recordings screen to
make it appear that way - it offers no security, but does allow some
personalisation of the experience.
