No offense was taken... it would be fantastic if we could get instant 
updates when things change at the last minute.  From what I see the 
whole system just doesn't work that way ( from the networks to 
aggregator to application).

Heck, remember when network news announcers would say in-band  "Note to 
our affiliates, we'll be running long today".  I don't think things have 
changed much. :)
