Actually, I think that I am improving the documentation in these
messages.   In the sense that mythtv-user archives seems to be an
important part of the documentation for MythTV as currently
constructed.  Now I haven't provided solutions to all of the problems
that I mentioned, just the ones that I found particularly hard to
figure out even after extensive web searching.  As I see it, there are
too many
different places where you can find out about MythTV and no obvious
canonical place to contribute
docs.   So for now, I'm picking a random place (this mailing list) and
posting my solutions here.

[And complaining about there not being a canonical place to do so
(with a good framework for doing so).]

BTW, does anybody who understands the MythTV codebase check wiki
updates for accuracy on a regular basis?  At least when I post
something incorrect to this list, someone will probably correct me.
