I, too, get exactly the same behavior. But I don't have an HDHR. I have 2 ATSC tuner cards for OTA and 2 HD-PVR's for Verizon FIOS. I get this problem on all tuners. It has become standard practice for me now when changing channels to hit pause until about 10 seconds have buffered, then resume.
