If running with -v playback ; earlier in the log it would have shown
which refresh rates were detected.

Do a xrandr -r and report what is available.

In the settings page where you selected the "Any" rate ; what are the
rates showing there ? Is 50Hz present when you go through the rate
with the arrow key?
