What other 1080p content and how are you testing it?

I have the G31M-S2L, with the E5200 (I think) runs at 2.5GHz, dual core. I have only got 4GB in this machine.

I am a little dissapointed with it to be honest. I put an NVidia 7300 SE into it as I needed TV out to begin with. I am now using this for DVI->HDMI output to a 1080p screen.
I recorded a program, The Secret Lives of Elephants from BBC HD to see what it could do. The computer can play back this clip ok.

If nothing else is happening. I was running an rsync from one server to this machine. The recording is stored locally, and I have tested the disk with iozone, at 16G, writes are at ~70MB/s reads at 117MB/s, whilst the rsync is in place, so it is not the disk that is the bottleneck.

The rsync is taking ~40% of CPU, whilst it is performing checksums. I think that somewhere there is a general bottleneck on resources. Possibly near the PCI bridges. With this machine serving recordings, my other frontends find it difficult to even get enough data to show the pictures. (NVP Timeout etc.)
