Good suggestions.  I will take your advice.  In terms of the updates, they
are for HDMI audio, which I don't have so I was passing on advice that
worked for those who had HDMI.  It seemed like generally good advice for
someone who has a system that isn't working so I put it in as a blanket
statement.

I think my updates suggest how to get the latest versions but I am unsure
which post you are referencing.
