Everything is used, but that's not the same as nothing is lost. It
still loses the sharpness that is the purpose of 1080i over 720p.

Recently got a chance to try Yadif. Must admit it's very impressive. The
great thing about yadif is it loses no sharpness in stationary parts of
the picture, unlike Bob.
