[mythtv-users] videos play fast

I'm noticing an oddity recently in two different cases.

1.  I had two DVD iso I ripped using an Ubuntu machine.   When i watched
them they were playing fast like they are being fast forwarded slightly.
The voices were sounding funny to so the audio was playing fast as well
(sounded like the chipmunks).
2.  I recorded a show  tonight (knight rider) and it played fast too.

Now I've watched some other MPGs that I had and they are fine.

While it's nice to watch a 1 hour program in 35 minutes (yes there was
commercial skipping) but still it played about 10 minutes faster then it
should have with the fast play.

So any ideas?

The log file (frontend/backend logs) are not showing anything out of the
ordinary either.

Where should I start looking.  Or what chould be causing this?
