[mythtv-users] HVR-1250 and IR / LIRC

Hello everyone. Ran into a bit of a snag with my system this evening and
wondered if anyone might be able to help.

My backend/frontend system consists of two HVR-1250 cards and an older
PVR-150 card. The 1250's are doing ATSC and the PVR-150, until last week,
was recording regular analog cable. However we've free'd ourselves from the
"cable beast" known as Comcast, so the PVR-150 is just sitting in there,
unused. So tonight I decided to remove it from my box.

Removed the card, and didn't even give a second thought to moving the IR
receiver from the 150 to one of the 1250's. I didn't research before hand,
but I just "assumed" that it would work, no problem. Well, we all know what
we get when we assume, right? :) Yeah.

So, from my googling, and reading over the wiki, it appears that the IR port
on the 1250 is not functional, at this point, under Linux. Is this still
the case? Has anyone been able to get it to work on the 1250 at all? I'd
rather not keep the PVR-150 in my box just for the IR, if I can avoid doing
so... It generates a lot of heat even when not in use, so I'm sure its
eating a watt or two I could be saving, heh. :-P

Anyway, thanks in advance, if anyone has anything to report on this!

Thanks..........
