I couldn't get the allow re-record to work when the source files
weren't present. I made a playlist of all the recordings, then I used
the playlist options to choose delete and allow re-record. It let me
select it but it had no effect. The same thing happened when I did it
in mythweb. I ended up using myth.find_orphans to produce a list of
the filenames that had been orphaned. Then I fed that to touch and it
created empty files for all of the recordings. Then running the delete
and allow rerecord on the playlist worked successfully. I double
checked a couple of them in the previously recorded section of manage
recordings and they were marked with an R and at the bottom they said
Re-Record. So I think things worked out. Thanks to everyone who helped
me get this thing back on track.
