Funny how you were able to run it but Udo wasn't (perhaps as he was
actually running his tuners causing extra load, or aybe you have more
RAM.

Udo if you still want to implement a virtual solution to try valgrind
on it might be worth looking at
http://cpn.dyndns.org/projects/dvbloop.shtml which (in the words of
another thread here) "makes the networked recorder appear as a normal
(albeit virtual) dvb
device in linux."

So by the look of it you could run vlc to do some network streaming,
and make it look like a dvb card in the virtualised machine. Just a
thought.
