[mythtv-users] directv.pl script (version 1.9) problems

I ordered a USB to serial adapter from cooldvr.com and so far have been
successful at sending commands but do not seem able to receive the
response from the receiver (H21-100)

I can send the on or off command and the receiver turns on or off
respectively. The setup_channel command fails because it does not
receive a response from the H21 after sending the on command. If I edit
the script to not send the on command as part of the setup_channel
command the receiver changes the channel correctly. However, in all
cases I get the "RECV: Timeout Error"

Can anyone suggest possible causes for this / solution to fix?
