Also keep in mind that all of the content producers are well aware of
overscan and produce their content such that nothing significant is on
the perimeter of the frame. So those extra pixels are likely only
giving you a few more inches of the wall, sky, ground, etc. Not
anything to get all upset about. Now on a PC screen the pixels on the
edge of the screen on generally the most important. That is where all
of the toolbars, taskbars, menus, etc are. I think the fact that more
computers are being hooked up to these HD displays will be the main
driving factor in ensuring there is no overscan. Just watching TV,
DVDs, etc you will hardly ever notice the difference.
